It’s December 24th - Christmas Eve! By all rights, you should be relaxing by a roaring fire with your feet up on your favorite footstool, drinking your perfect, piping hot beverage of choice. You should be, but you’re not. 

No, you had to procrastinate on the one task that you dread each year as your season approaches. You are an immortal magical figure enlivened by the spirit of Christmas itself, but you just couldn’t get your chores done.

The next thing you know, you’re playing on your phone. Yes, of course you have a phone! Magical immortal beings enlivened by the spirit of Christmas itself are allowed to have the convenience of the internet in their pocket too. You want to text him. You know you shouldn’t. But you really want to.

You texted him. Whoa, he already replied? No wait. He texted you at the exact same moment. He texted you! Wait, why does that matter to you? Never mind that’s not important, he asked you what you’re putting off. Why does he just assume you’re putting something off? 

Okay, yes, that’s what you texted him too, but … he doesn’t understand! He doesn’t know how hard your side of this eternal bargain is! He’s got it easy, he doesn’t have to…
